Streamlining the Commissioning Process
SIMPLEXGRINNELL HAS INTRODUCED two new products aimed at reducing problems that begin during alarm system system commissioning. Both products, a diagnostic shape and software, were introduced at last week’s NFPA Show in Las Vegas.
According to the result release, “The new Simplex TrueSTART (System Complex Analysis and Readiness Testing) device is a portable, hand-held diagnostic way that can simplify and expedite the commissioning proceeding for Simplex fire alarm systems. The TrueSTART compact enables contractors or technicians to quick verify that wiring and peripheral devices are installed correctly and operating decorously even before the system wiring is connected to the fire alarm control panel.
“Battery-operated and elemental to use, the TrueSTART instrument uses advanced software technology to examination hundreds of addressable fire alarm system devices and pinpoint undeveloped problems, such as ground faults, shorted wiring, or imprecise or duplicate addressing. Through its sophisticated diagnostic capabilities for Simplex fire alarm systems, the TrueSTART means can expedite the resolution of problems, keep projects on goal for the planned occupancy date, and endorse compliance with nationally recognized codes and standards such as NFPA 72®, Civil Fire Alarm Code® and CAN/ULC-S537.
“With an important software enhancement to its flagship Simplex 4100U fire alarm system, SimplexGrinnell offers a new way to streamline the inspection and testing procedure and help ensure that the report is concluded and accurate.
